1 | Arbitrum Foundation Launches its First Grant Program to Foster Ecosystem Growth
The Arbitrum Foundation has announced the launch of its inaugural grant program, marking a significant step towards fulfilling its mission of fostering ecosystem growth. The Foundation's grant program is designed to align with partner projects and educational initiatives, both online and in-person, as stated in the Foundation's Bylaws. The Foundation Grants, is run by the Arbitrum Foundation in support of the Arbitrum DAO. It is important to note that this program is not intended to replace any DAO-driven grants program. Instead, it is designed to meet the requirements set out in the Foundation's mission statement, focusing on achieving specific objectives and areas of opportunity identified by the Foundation. The Foundation Grants is primarily focused on ecosystem growth, issuing grants towards areas where increased development could potentially yield a greater return to the Arbitrum ecosystem. All grants issued through this program are intended to improve adoption, create stronger technical structures, and build sustainable communities. These grants will be milestone and KPI based, established in collaboration with each applicant.

4 | A New Uniswap Feature Aims to Eliminate DeFi Pain Points
Uniswap, the world's largest decentralized crypto exchange, unveiled a new blockchain protocol "UniswapX" for trading across automated market makers (AMMs) and other liquidity sources. Details of the project were shared with CoinDesk in a press release, and Uniswap Labs CEO Hayden Adams was due to make the announcement on-stage Monday at the EthCC conference in Paris. Uniswap, the world's largest decentralized exchange (DEX) according to the website DefiLlama with about $3.8 billion of collateral or "total value locked," says that UniswapX addresses many of the pain points of on-chain trading and self-custody swapping. Features include "better prices" by aggregating liquidity sources, according to the press release, along with gas-free swapping, protection against maximal extractable value, or MEV, and no cost for failed transactions.

5 | Consensys launches Linea Layer 2 on mainnet alpha release
Blockchain development firm Consensys has released its highly anticipated Linea on the mainnet. The alpha release of its zkEVM rollup will onboard its testnet partners this week and open the network to the public during next week's EthCC conference. Linea is a Layer 2 chain that leverages ZK-Rollups for scaling and is compatible with Ethereum apps. This launch comes after a successful testnet phase where Linea received significant user attention, becoming one of the largest active projects on Goerli testnet. During this phase, 5.2 million unique wallets participated, executing over 41 million transactions within three months, though many could be classified as airdrop farmers.
6 | Telegram Trading Bot Unibot Captured More Fees Than BSC and MakerDAO
According to DeFiLlama, the Telegram bot Unibot captured around $665,000 in fees on 23 July, a record high, surpassing the fees captured by protocols such as Convex Finance, BSC and Pancakeswap. Telegram bots for decentralized applications are automated programs allowing users to implement on-chain trading or farming strategies through the messaging app by linking wallets to the bots or creating new Ethereum wallets. Unibot stands out as the most popular Telegram bot in the niche. Unibot enables automated trading on the Uniswap decentralized exchange (DEX) with features such as snipping, which allows for instant token purchases after listing, and revenue sharing, making trading easier.
