1 | Consensys sues US SEC over Ethereum regulation
Consensys has filed a lawsuit against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) tied to the regulation of the Ethereum blockchain, the crypto firm said on Thursday. The regulation of the industry has become a contentious issue as the sector's biggest companies, including Coinbase Global, opens new tab, allege the SEC does not have jurisdiction on the grounds that crypto tokens are not securities. The U.S. markets watchdog has been "attempting to unlawfully regulate ether through ad hoc enforcement actions against Consensys and possibly others," Consensys complaint alleged. Consensys said it was looking for the court's confirmation that the SEC does not have legal authority to regulate the user-controlled software interfaces built on Ethereum, or the Ethereum blockchain.

2 | Kraken Releases Own Crypto Wallet
Kraken, the second-biggest U.S.-based crypto exchange, has developed its own wallet, catching up to its rival Coinbase in the product arena and joining a saturated field that also includes major players like MetaMask, Ledger and Trezor. The new self-custodial “Kraken Wallet" is being releasing Wednesday and will be available to both Kraken users and non-users, CoinDesk is first to report. The wallet will initially support eight blockchains including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, Optimism, Base, Arbitrum, Polygon and Dogecoin.
3 | Worldcoin is Building a Layer-2 Chain
OpenAI founder Sam Altman's retina-scanning crypto startup, Worldcoin, is getting its own blockchain. World Chain, a layer-2 network on Ethereum slated for a release this summer, will grant special treatment to users who scan their eyeballs in exchange for a "World ID" digital passport. It will build on Worldcoin's perennial pitch as a network for "verified humans" – an ecosystem designed to filter out bots in the increasingly uncanny age of AI.Until now, Worldcoin's World ID protocol has simply operated as a decentralized application – essentially just a set of smart contracts on the Ethereum blockchain. The move to start an independent chain could give the developers greater control over the project with more optionality while also potentially reducing costs for users.
4 | Aethir partners with easeflow
Aethir is partnering with easeflow, the leading node terminal, and blockchain engagement product developer to provide Aethir Checker Node license owners with a streamlined node deployment experience. With easeflow’s blockchain infrastructure, Aethir’s users gain access to a reputable, secure, and efficient Nodes-as-a-Service (NaaS) provider to jumpstart their Aethir Checker Node journey. Blockchain technology holds immense promise, but its complexity often acts as a barrier to widespread adoption. Recognizing this challenge, Aethir has forged a strategic partnership with easeflow to simplify blockchain engagement and enhance user experience and accessibility through its all-in-one node terminal. Aethir Checker Node owners can use easeflow as the go-to NaaS provider for setting up their nodes and earning Checker rewards.
