1 | Uniswap launches iOS mobile wallet in select countries
Decentralized exchange Uniswap has launched a mobile wallet that features built-in support for the exchange, according to an April 13 announcement from the company. The app is available for iOS devices in select countries and can be found in Apple’s App Store. The Uniswap team complained on March 3 that Apple was blocking the app from its stores. But in this new announcement, the team said that its wallet is “out of Apple jail and now live in most countries.”

2 | Shiba Inu's Metaverse Will Partially Open by End of 2023
he Metaverse, a project that expands the utility of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, is being pegged to open by December of this year, Shiba Inu developers said in an update on Monday. “While all development takes time, the MV team is confident that by the end of 2023 users will have the opportunity to explore some of the areas in this fantastic world, build, design, play and develop within it,” developers said Monday.
3 | Ethereum ‘re-staking’ protocol EigenLayer launches on testnet
A new protocol that allows Ethereum validators and stakers to “re-stake” their assets onto other emerging networks has just launched on testnet. The mainnet launch of the EigenLayer protocol is not expected until Q3, however, and testing will be phased in three stages to onboard various participants into the ecosystem. The first stage is using Ethereum’s Goerli testing network. The project has some serious backing and announced $50 million in a Series A funding round in late March led by crypto venture firm Blockchain Capital, along with Coinbase Ventures, Polychain Capital, Electric Capital and Finality Capital Partner.

4 | SushiSwap Smart Contract Bug Exploited in $3.3 Million Theft
A bug introduced into SushiSwap four days ago was exploited late Saturday to drain about $3.3 million worth of Ethereum from a single user's account. According to a Twitter post by blockchain security and data analytics company PeckShield, a wallet controlled by the victim—a prominent member of the Crypto Twitter community known as Sifu—was targeted by an "approve-related bug" in SushiSwap's RouterProcessor2 contract to steal about 1,800 ETH.

5 | MicroStrategy now holds more Bitcoin than Mt. Gox’s balance
MicroStrategy acquired 1,045 Bitcoin (BTC) between March 24 and April 4 for about $29.3 million in cash at an average price of $28,016 per BTC. This latest purchase brings the firm’s total Bitcoin holding to 140,000 BTC, which is more than that of the bankrupt crypto exchange Mt. Gox balance, according to Glassnode data. As of April 4, the firm said it held 140,000 BTC acquired for about $4.17 billion at an average price of $29,803, according to an April 5 SEC filing. In March, Microstrategy revealed that it bought over 6000 BTC for roughly $150 million.

6 | Crypto Protocol LayerZero Raises $120M at $3B Valuation
Blockchain infrastructure provider LayerZero Labs has raised $120 million in a Series B funding round at a valuation of $3 billion, tripling its valuation from its $135 million round in March 2022. Investors in the latest round included the crypto arm of noted investment firm Andreessen Horowitz, auction house Christie’s, Sequoia Capital and Samsung Next. The round had 33 total backers, including BOND, Circle Ventures and OpenSea Ventures. The capital will go toward growth initiatives, including hiring and expanding the company’s presence in Asia-Pacific.
7 | Celo Foundation Announces Collaboration with Google Cloud
Celo Foundation announced a new partnership with Google Cloud to bolster the growth of mission-aligned projects in Celo’s blockchain ecosystem and to expand the early adoption of Google Cloud services. As cLabs’ preferred cloud provider, Google Cloud’s cloud infrastructure has underpinned the development of the Celo Platform since 2018. Building on the success of this collaboration, Google Cloud joins Celo Foundation’s founders’ programs by providing founders building on Celo with credits for Google Cloud and Firebase usage. The Google Cloud core team will also provide guidance to the Celo Foundation’s Founders in Residence program, and the eight-week virtual Celo Camp accelerator, joining Twilio SendGrid, HubSpot, and Coinbase Cloud in offering project support.
